The Canadian Museum of Women's History has created a dedicated fund at the Community Foundation for Kingston & Area (CFKA).

This will allow CFKA to: 

• receive donations on behalf of CMWH;
• provide donors with a charitable tax receipt; 
• and hold and manage donated monies for the near-future development of the museum. 

Here are the ways you can give:

Online by Credit Card or VISA Debit Card

If you’re ready to make your gift now to CMWH, then use CFKA’s secure online giving page. 

You will have the option to make a donation to the CMWH fund in memory or in honour of someone important to you. 

You can make a one-time gift, or sign up to make a pledge over months, or quarters, or even years.

By Phone

Or, if you prefer, you can simply call 613-546-9696 to make your donation over the phone using your Visa, MasterCard, or AMEX, or VISA Debit card. 

Just let the staff person know you want your donation to go to the CMWH fund.

By Cheque

Please make your cheque payable to:

and write “Canadian Museum of Women’s History” in the memo line.

By Publicly-Traded Securities

For maximum tax advantage, you can donate appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds) to avoid paying income tax on capital gains. It’s a true win-win situation! 

A gift of publicly-traded securities is the transfer of ownership of stocks or bonds to the Community Foundation for Kingston & Area. If you own shares that have increased in value, 50 per cent of the capital gains are taxable. However, if you donate these shares in-kind to the Foundation, the entire gain is tax-exempt.
